There are openings for Deerfield Beach students for the fabulous program
which is being sponsored by the GFWC Woman's Club of Deerfield Beach

 

 

YOUNG ART & MUSIC PROGRAM

at HISTORIC BUTLER HOUSE

Art student

A  new series of free art and music appreciation classes will begin each
Thursday in October for middle school students, to be held under the
100-year-old banyan tree in the backyard of Historic Butler House, 380 East
Hillsboro Blvd, Deerfield Beach.  

 

The classes will take place from 5-7pm.

 

Art studentsArt instructors, Gabriela Gamperi and Debbie Rollo, will present
four, two-hour sessions with a famous artist being introduced to the
students at each class, along with a famous composer of the same time
period. After a discussion the children will have an initial art session and
then a second art session to create a piece of art in the style of the
artist, all while listening to the music of the selected composer.  At the
close of the month's session, an exhibition will be held to showcase the art
produced by the students.
