Deerfield Beach District 4 Commissioner, Bill Ganz and District 3 Activist, Bernie Parness were appointed to the council on February 3rd by newly-elected Broward County Commissioner Mark Bogen. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;line-height:normal'><span lang=EN style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#011F1F'>This is especially important because the county is currently entering into the process of reviewing and revising the goals, objectives and policies of the Broward County Land Use Plan. These policies will have a clear and significant impact on the future of planning in Broward County and, in turn, those who live and work in the county.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;line-height:normal'><span lang=EN style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#011F1F'>The Broward County Planning Council was created in 1974 and has 20 members, 18 of which are appointed by the County Commission. The Planning Council is a multi-jurisdictional agency that oversees comprehensive, long-range planning throughout the county with the cooperation and participation of local governments.
