Joan Maurice passed peacefully on August 9 at 6:00am. She will be missed by her loving family and many friends.
A Deerfield Beach resident for 26 years, she was active in city politics and was a member of many committees, working closely with members of the city government.
She was the owner and operator of Avion Metal Works, a highly regarded ornamental iron company in South Florida.
Prior to moving to South Florida, she was an acclaimed educator in the New Jersey school system, being listed in the Who's Who of American Educators.
Joan also founded and created the first corporate video training company in New York City.
She leaves behind an amazingly proud and loving family.
Visitation will be at Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home at 1100 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton from 2:00- 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 13th.
Church service will be held at St Joan of Arc, 370 SW 3rd Street Boca Raton at 11 AM on Monday, August 14th.
Interment at Boca Raton Mausoleum
